Places I wouldn't go on the Web!

This is such an interesting, yet great question to talk about. I don't think we would usually think of the places they we wouldn't go on the web. This makes you think.

Places I don't go on the web are news websites like Fox news. I don't really agree with the opinions and information that Fox sometimes gives. For news, as stated in a previous blog, I would prefer to go to social media or maybe a news article website. Another place I wouldn't go on the web or just don't go on the web are places where I can't get inspired, learn something, or somewhere that doesn't bring life. Websites that wouldn't inspire me go from a huge range.

Another place that I don't like to go on the web is anywhere where it'll cause my computer to get a virus. There are a lot of websites that can cause your computer to get a virus some game websites and then some inappropriate websites. Anything that will cause a virus on my computer I will  not go to! At all!
I think these are all the websites that I don't go on. I think it's hard sometimes stating something that you don't go to.

  1. Fox News and other news articles websites share same the common, they both share their opinions and information to the public. Sometime those opinions and information might not agree with some people, but it doesn’t mean that everything that they mentioned are wrong. Fox News articles could be inspiring and learning of something, but it all depended what’s the focus for the topic. I agree with you that virus is like a disease that cause damage to the computer, surely, we don’t want to go webs that have virus.

  2. I absolutely loathe going on news sites or reading articles people post on Facebook! I feel like I am constantly being bombarded by bad news and emotionally charged opinions. The sites only serve to make me angry or depressed. I try really hard to avoid being depressed since, well since it's not fun being depressed obviously.

  4. Interesting post, Deyzaney!
When you state that you would rather go on a news website, I'm gathering that you want unbiased news? Or is it that you want news that's slanted toward more progressive news? I find myself on Fox News occasionally, but it's more like rubbernecking at a car accident. I often wonder what people are learning from that site and others like TownHall or Breitbart, and I'll check it out. I don't stay for long, though. I could fill up a memes generator from just the Fox and Friends segments.
I wonder--what kind of sites cause viruses? Is it clicking on a pop-up or in an email from a stranger?

  5. good blog. I also agree with you I not a fan of fox news at all. I do read it on the internet or on the tv. I would rather get my news for a stranger off the street. However I like getting my news form CNN.

  6. I agree with you on the, it's hard to say where you don't go because we don't really think about that. In my blog I talked about how I had to think about it with my mother at first. It's hard to think of those types of things. Also, I completely agree with the game sites. I didn't even think of that until I read it here but I've had experiences with obtaining viruses that way.

  8. It's important to not disregard a news source completely because of a few segments or articles, or just because of its typical point of view. If we constantly feed ourselves only theories and opinions from one perspective, we can become single-minded. This isn't to say you should spend loads of time reading opinions you don't believe you can stand by, but there can be more than first meets the eye on some of these controversial issues in the media today, so it's important to carefully take each thing you read and hear "with a grain of salt," as they say.
